My love of Interior Design started as far back as I can remember. I use to spend countless hours redesigning my childhood bedroom. Rearranging furniture and playing with the use of different textiles and textures was a hobby. Growing up my Mother inspired me with her extensive knowledge of the real estate industry and interior design. I was always in awe of seeing homes that were listed for sale. From a young age I was able to look at their floor plans and imagine myself living in them as well as what would look amazing where, with regard to decor and floor plan changes.
As I became older and was able to use my own capital, I have spent a great deal of time flipping homes for profit. I have changed floor plans to improve flow and functionality, updated kitchens, changed fixtures, flooring, paint etc. to update the homes. I have successfully worked and built relationships with many contractors and home builders who take my visions and make them realities. I have assisted my friends and family with countless projects, given suggestions on floor plan changes, color schemes, picked out flooring, window coverings, fixtures and decor to help them realize their vision for their own homes. My favorite project that has been ongoing has been the design and completion of my own home build. A lot of people have horror stories about building a home and I LOVED every part of it. Picking out flooring, color schemes, layouts, kitchen design, wall coverings and accessories all while creating a seamless flow. This can be overwhelming to a lot of people, it is second nature to me. I like to specialize in window treatments and have several out of the box ideas to help homeowners liven their space and keep it bright, while accentuating decorative woodwork, not taking away from it. I also love to breathe new life into worn, old or outdated furniture pieces, through refurbishing furniture. I have several pieces that I have completed and sold as well as pieces that I have refurbished for family and friends, this is what I do for fun. I have designed every aspect of my home including outdoor spaces, such as decks, a pool house, patios, outdoor fire features, etc. I have designed floor plans for basements and bonus spaces.
